Summer never seems to last long enough, but I have a special love for shoulder seasons, fall especially. Fall offers the invitation—if not the actual opportunity—to slow down and bring it back home literally and metaphorically as we celebrate the bounty of summer and prepare for winter.
I also love pausing to remember that spring is happening in the southern hemisphere, and that while we hunker down up north, half the planet is kicking into gear. Shoulder seasons tie the world together for me and can remind us simultaneously of place and perspective. It’s a great time to gather to share dishes and stories.
As FED begins its first fall season, with more than 100 subscribers spread across the globe, we invite you to bring it home with us—wherever you are—to share your place and perspective during this season with an online FED Friendsgiving.
