FED Spring 2025 Mix
D:RC spins us into year two
It's been a full year since my first mix for FED. Since then, I've become a regular contributor as we navigate what most agree is a very different world. I've heard countless variations on "Shit just got real" lately, and it certainly feels that way. It's why I believe more than ever in our core FED mission: inviting people to the table to share—be it ideas, perspectives, recipes, stories, playlists—with each other, like a truly satisfying meal.
In keeping with this "unvarnished reality" theme, I've delivered a less controlled mix than before. While I used to painstakingly try to keep the vibe within certain parameters, this one covers a much wider range. Soulful, contemplative jazzy numbers at the start slowly give way to a more urgent sound, ramping up into dark, futuristic tech-infused cuts towards the middle. The mix then sort of evens back out into a kind of energetic bliss.
